The Berghaus Explorer has been one of our best selling boots over the years due to a few simple reasons - It is extremely tough, light, very comfortable and waterproof - That's properly waterproof, not water resistant. Suitable for everything from walking forestry paths and hard packed trails to taking a beating down in the Macgillycuddy Reeks, these boots really have to be tried on to believe the comfort and fit.
The footbed/sole is reasonably flexible yet gives good torsional stability so it is comfortable on the harder packed stuff but with enough support for those rocky ascents (nothing too mental though!). The fantastic grip of the sole is great even in the wettest of conditions - It is like a tractor tire when you meet the mud!. The suede and mesh (mesh really doesn't properly describe how tough this material is) upper makes for a soft but very tough combination.
